I’m the youngest of four girls. After giving up on having a son, my dad nicknamed me “Clyde” and taught me to fish and golf. After seemingly endless summers on the golf course with my dad, I went to Penn State and became a member of the Women’s Varsity Golf Team. I went on to work as an Assistant Golf Professional for a couple of years. Seeking more fulfillment, I decided to follow my other dream of becoming a lawyer. With no other lawyers in my family, I had no idea what I was going to do until I landed a job with a top, international law firm one week before school ended. I later became an equity partner at my law firm and then served as Associate General Counsel, Global HR & Litigation, for The Hershey Company. (Yes, endless supplies of chocolate were a perk!)
I currently serve as a member of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army Greater Harrisburg, where I also co-chair and helped found the Shoe Strut, an annual fundraiser for TSA. Because of the Shoe Strut, over 2,000 local children in need have received new shoes, and tens of thousands of dollars have been raised to support TSA programs and services. I am fortunate to have received many awards in recognition of service to my profession and my community. Most recently, I was nominated for the Business Women’s Forum Business Woman of the Year. I live in Central Pennsylvania with my husband, Steve, and our two, spirited daughters, building family memories and legacies to last a lifetime.
